To ensure the contracted land fully nourishes the planted tea trees, avoid neighboring cultivation such as pineapples and yams from affecting the quality of the tea farm, and reduce the cross-contamination of the land, Tea & Magic Hand achieves the effectiveness of contract farming through strict corporate forest management. Besides, the harvest time of the ordinary fresh tea leaves is around the 45th to 50th day after planting. The tea farmers would visually check the tea farm on the 43rd day to determine if the fresh tea leaves correspond to the harvest standard and conduct necessary safety inspections. Only when the tea leaves pass the inspection can they be harvested.
The contract tea farm owned by Tea & Magic Hand is located in Hengshan, Mingjian Township, Nantou County, at the southern end of Bagua Mountain. The reason we chose this location for the tea farm and cooperate with local independent farmers is not only because Nantou is the major production location for Taiwanese tea leaves but also that the fresh tea leaves will grow there with better quality and taste as they are blown by southerly winds, making the tea clear, pure, and fragrant.
At present, Tea & Magic Hand owns contracted tea farms with up to 510,000 pings, equivalent to 180 hectares. In the large and vibrant tea drinks market of Taiwan, Tea & Magic Hand can be called the only tea company in Taiwan that gets its tea from the cultivation source and has its “own tea farms.”
To make a fine cup of tea is difficult. To make a cup of tea with “pure Taiwanese flavor” is even more difficult! By virtue of a belief in making good tea, Tea & Magic Hand has invested heavily in capital and time-consuming research and development, and finally successfully completed its technical improvement plan. Most of the stores in Taiwan depend on imported black tea leaves and green tea leaves. Through our exclusive new high-end development technique, we can produce them ourselves and name the tea leaves “Taiwanese Blush” and “Taiwanese Pure Green,” devoted to making all the pure tea drinks of Tea & Magic Hand become authentic “Taiwanese tea.”
Every freshly picked tea leaf has to undergo the production procedure within thirty-six hours from withering, tossing, piling, setting, fermenting, fixation, rolling, drying, mass rolling, mass breaking, molding, re-drying, and packaging.
Through the “twenty-four steps,” we complete the making of a package of tea leaves.
